Copper has been the standard in Halifax homes for decades. It is durable, handles heat well and holds up for a long time when properly installed. PEX is a flexible plastic line that needs fewer fittings, resists freezing damage better than rigid pipe, and can be run through finished walls with less disruption. We work with both and will recommend the right material for each part of the job.

Full repipes
Many older Halifax homes still have galvanized steel, aging copper or mixed piping that has been patched over the years. Low water pressure, discoloured water and repeated leaks are signs the system is near the end of its life. A full repipe replaces the supply lines throughout the house, and we plan the work to limit wall openings and keep water service interruptions short.
Frozen pipe thawing and repair
Nova Scotia winters can freeze pipes in exterior walls, crawl spaces and unheated areas. If a tap has no flow on a cold day, shut off the main water valve if you can and call us. We safely thaw the line, check for splits, and repair any damage. We can also reroute or insulate vulnerable lines to prevent it from happening again.
